That route was worth a try but it didn't do anything.

The front gate was recently broken open. Also the upstairs window pane is missing. The place is a blight to the neighborhood.

This property has been abandoned for over 25 years I have seen all kinds of solicitation around this house..ther's big rats and raccoons that I have seen go in and out of this house YES THIS IS BKIGHT AND IF SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT THE CITY FROM PIEDMONT OR CERTAIN AREAS OF THIS CITY IT WOULDN'T BE..SOO AS A HOME OWNER IN NICOL AVE. THE CITY HAS TO CONDEMN THIS HOUSE BECAUSE THAT IS THE CONDITION OF IT ASAP!! MY WHOLE BLOCK & I WILL GO TO THE CITY COUNCIL COLLECTIVELY AND REFUSE TO PAY OUR TAXES IF THIS IS NOT RESOLVED!!

The daughter took over this property and sadly lives a couple blocks from here and only comes 3 to 4 times a year. And has the nerve to get mad when we complain. Her house is basically breaking down slowly and the trees are causing damage to the neighbors property. And I have accepted Raccoons to be my neighbors at least they keep the crack heads and squaters away at night. This property needs to be sold but nothing can be done because she won't sell or fix. How nice to have hook ups at city hall!

The Neighbors are going to unite and stop paying property TAXES unless something is done! We're looking for a resolve to this problem and it is the City of Oakland who needs to take some cintrol!! (however it's done)

It is no way that the city should allow this kind of eyesore to take place anywhere in this city..and allow an abandoned house to sit for over 25 yrs with no one living in this house my question for the city is this person able to write this house off on her taxes?..you need see if she's done that, and it is the city's responsibility to tell us where there's some wrong not us??(the neighbors) a nd if nothing is done we need to hold the lazy folks that work for this city lazy and ineffective.

The owner is (or was) Caroline Minnie Crandall. She died in 2008. The assessor's office would have the current ownership information. City has initiated code enforcement proceedings against the property. They way to get this to stop is for all of the neighbors to sue the owner (or her heirs) in small claims court for nuisance. That would get some attention fast.

I have noticed people parked outside of the house waiting and/or sleeping in their cars. I am not sure why people would be doing that.
