Maybe we can just scrap the whole thing. It isn't working and we would do better to leave cans in the front yard for the homeless. The homeless don't charge.

Cynical. It can work fine. The FAQ's address "Why don't we pick up in alley's?" With an elaborate explanation that basically only deflects the cost of adding to the routes. The trouble is, in my area, ALL THE TRASH BINS ARE IN ALLEYS. OUR YARDS DONT CONNECT TO THE STREETS. So make an exception and go down some alleys. Geesh, OR the code compliance guys that go down my street twice a day with binoculars to hand out code violations can pick up the recycling bins.

I think the trucks are too big for the alleys.
