Description
I-215 Southbound and Northbound from I-80 to 4700 South is in very rough shape. Are there any plans to improve the road any time soon? I am concerned that this will get ugly during the winter months.

The current construction on eastbound I-215 from 300 East to Redwood Road is one of several projects scheduled on the interstate. Next year, crews will complete a similar repaving project in the westbound lanes from 300 East to Redwood Road.
In addition, a major reconstruction of I-215 in both directions will begin in Spring 2016, from S.R. 201 to 4700 South. Crews will remove the existing pavement and install new, long-lasting concrete pavement.
There will also be new auxiliary lanes, minor interchange modifications and bridge reconstruction at various locations. This work is scheduled for completion in late 2017.
Finally, the I-215 bridge over S.R. 201 will undergo major reconstruction in 2017 as well. Crews will remove the upper portion of the bridge and replace it with a new structure.
