I am in 100% agreement that this should not be allowed and is a blemish on the entire neighborhood that will drop everyone's property values. This isn't a rural area with lots on acreage; the RV is right on the neighbor's property line and looks terrible. That said, the pdf page referenced fooled me too. The Code enforcement rep pointed out that it is a PROPOSED amendment that apparently did not pass into law. That said, there might be a Case that the Concrete pad has been placed both within the side setback (possibly the front setback also) and over the utility easement. I would think a Concrete pad would be Considered a permanent stricture and would guess that it is not allowed to be placed over the utility easement. Any luck with that argument?
This sucks for the immediate neighbors and the neighborhood as a whole. If there is no Code that Can help, maybe we Can form a HOA and at least prevent anything similar in the future?
Is that RV longer than 21 feet? If so, this seems to be current/active code:
Prohibited vehicles and equipment means and includes, but shall not be limited to, any truck, trailer or stretched and/or extended automobile or sport utility vehicle in excess of 21 feet...
...Prohibitions. No person or agent thereof shall cause or permit a prohibited vehicle to be stored, maintained or parked in a residential zoning district unless such vehicle is parked on private property in an enclosed garage or similar lawful structure, thereby eliminating its visibility from public roads and adjacent parcels of land.
