Same as Trophy Brewing on West Morgan. They have completely blocked the sidewalk with trash cans and recycling bins, but Mayor Meeker's baby boy owns the place so they get a complete pass at the laws and regulations.

You have to maneuver through the tables and chairs in the afternoon and evening in front of Raleigh Times, it's very annoying. I agree with your concern about the lady in a wheelchair, there is no way a wheelchair can make it through that mess.

More photos and SCF post on this location need to happen. Flood all social media and send the council members an email about the issues and lack of fairness. It was broken with the other venues. The only fixing needs to be with Raleigh Times. Raleigh Times was and still is the issue.

the inconvenience caused by Raleigh Times is beyond ridiculous..... but it's even more insane that they're allowed to continue this, yet the other businesses aren't held to the same standard. CoR, this subjectivity & bias toward other businesses must be considered immediately- this is unfair treatment. Why is this tolerated??

As a resident downtown, I'm not as engaged as everyone else here obviously, but I have wondered on my walks about why the seating in front of the Raleigh Times takes up all of the Hargett Street sidewalk, where seating on other areas is blocked off so a clear path for pedestrians is available. Many times I have walked in front of the Raleigh Times where tables are put together blocking the sidewalk entirely, or I have literally had to turn sideways to make my way between people drinking and eating (and getting nasty looks as if I am inconveniencing them). With all the stories lately on the news about other Downtown businesses getting citations and the rules for sidewalk dining, it does seem that enforcement is overlooking this one business in particular. Thank you.
