This inlet is getting more dangerous

This happens very frequently due to big trucks and likely small trucks (and plows during the winter) when they run over the curb on the inside of the turn. Told the borough several times about it and nothing happens. They might come out and put the caps back in place and then put cones up. The same then happens in the near future. This is a recurring problem that can't be fixed by cones. Does someone have to break their leg (or a child fall in) in order to get the borough's attention on this?

Also this is not the only corner this happens at. Any sewer position at a corner is liable to (and does) create the same risk to our beloved pedestrian community members.

The access covers are not the only problem with this particular storm inlet. When I first reported it about a month ago the main issue was that the entire inlet structure is almost 2 inches below the surrounding sidewalk presenting a significant tripping hazard. The entire inlet needs restructured. The day I took the picture iPLL used I also called it in to the Boro who replaced the covers within the hour. Still long enough for someone to fall in. Another inlet that has the same problem with the covers is at price and Conway. I call that one in almost on a monthly basis.

This has not yet been addressed and remains a hazard. Could the borough provide an update on this issue? Thank you

The Borough has a federal grant to fix this and 5 other inlets like it in the Borough. Expected construction is in October of this year. Please let us know in the meantime if it continues to pop up and we will put it back in place.
