Description
the traffic signal here and at cedar have some funky lens that does not show a green light unless you are almost into the intersection. can someone just change these to the old style bulbs? I've never been able to see these correctly and they look like a safety issue. the angle seems to be wrong like trying to watch a projection tv from the far left or right

These signals were put up by MDOT and are not to be seen until you are upon them. Any concerns should be directed to MDOT, below is contact information for traffic signals operations.

See information above posted by BWL. The reason for the signals not to be seen from far away is that the left turning traffic is progressed through the boulevard section. When this happens, Penn/Cedar have a red at the near signal and a green at the far signal. If drivers on Penn/Cedar at the front of the queue at the intersection see a green ahead of them, they may not check the signal right above them (near signal which is red) and be drawn into the intersection.
