Yes, I also have to pick up trash here all the time because when I walk with my toddler she always picks up trash and says "look…look…look what someone threw on the ground!" And then I have to explain to her why she should not touch it, and inevitably I end up taking it home. Alternately…I do try as a neighbour to pick up trash around the neighbourhood, but there is way more then I can keep up with. Other high density cities I have lived in have had public trash cans near public transit and also on streets with a lot of foot traffic. Keeping the streets clean makes people want to move into the area…as well!
