Descrizione

This pedestal used to support a walk signal and its associated button. Two winters ago, it was destroyed, and hasn't been replaced. (Question, why is it placed at the curb where snow plows can wreck it?)

Anyway, pedestrians at the southwest corner of the intersection crossing Broadway have no visible walk signal because of its absence.

Guess this isn't really needed as part of this intersection's traffic lights. Makes you wonder why it was installed in the first place.

Thank you for reporting this issue. The DPW Traffic Division has repaired the WALK sign on this traffic light and found it in working order for quite a while after the adjustments were made. Your reports of its malfunctions have been help in our search for a permanent repair of this walk signal. At this time we have hired a contractor to help solve this issue. Please continue to report here any malfunction that you experience and we will continue to monitor the functioning of this WALK signal in-house.
