Longest ongoing complaint , That street is a disaster, Half of Clark is in the 8'th ward and the section from Orange to Pleasant is in the 9'th ward - wanna see an Alder high tail it and run ? ask him / her to resolve it, confused ? don't be, i mean bring the area into the 9'th ward, and then ..and then nothing happens either...Still confused ? good ,then they call the whole thing off

There has been a few issues with parking at Clark & State street (Chris Martins) Valet parking and they dump the car in your driveway, neighborhood residents are too have a residential parking sticker ($5 at hall o records) almost guaranteeing one a spot after a long day at work, they have enforcement vehicles from the city ,it don't help much at nite,the 9'th ward co-chair was involved in that,it was a big-to-do at one time,
The City was involved and there was a lot of back and forth accusations and incidents,it was awhile ago , But please remember just who and what you are dealing with in a ogilarchy at city hall

The parking issue goes all the way up Clark St. because of CM's Valet Parking. They use Clark St for their parking lot. Since the city only polices parking permits during the day, it's the residents who suffer.

The Livable Cities Initiative confirmed that CM's can not do this, yet ... it's another case of Who You Know in New Haven Politics!

Really. It has become ridiculous. Maybe the cyty should pay for my new rim since the old one needs to be replaced after the constant pothole dodging has caused it to crack

Just drive under 10 mph and your problem's solved. I bicycle down Clark St every day between Pleasant and Orange and while I'll definitely appreciate it when the city gets around to repaving the street. However, I can't imagine going fast enough to actually hurt myself or my rims. Then again, I don't have a driver's license, so what do I know?
