This house was red tagged Oct 8 for no utilities. Last night the person (and dog) squatting there removed the tag & is continuing to stay there. What can be done about this?

Property taxes current at county. 2014 tax status list home a owner occupied?

Person squatting there is a relative w/ criminal record. He threatened one of the neighbors after accusing neighbor of calling code compliance. I believe a PPO will soon be filed. Property owner lives elsewhere. This is not a rental, just empty house in bad condition.

Also, code compliance has been notified of tag removal & police were called after threats were made. We need to get this guy off our block.

Guy is still living there (with 2 pitt bulls), despite red tag.(Sunday Oct 11). Was sitting on my front porch from 8 am - 11 & Guy came out to do a shady deal with some other POS who knocked on his door at 10 am on the front porch, clearly had slept there. Really wish Lansing would enforce these tags & illegal activity.

Unbelievable. Guy's girlfriend just came out the front door with bedhead, rubbing her eyes. So that makes 2 people & 2 dogs living in a red-tagged house.

This property is still shown as red tagged. If you see someone in the property after 5:00 pm please call the police department.

Called police last night after 5pm when red tag resident was sitting on porch. Next morning saw him emerge from house. He sat on porch all day today with his dogs and girlfriend. Now he knows to lay low after 5, but still very much living there & still very much a nuisance.

Ownership has changed hands & issue appears to be in process of repair.
