Deskripsyon

This section of the community path is flooded. It floods every time it rains, and has for years. To avoid the water you need to walk up on a steep slope with lots of roots. It's completely impassable for wheelchairs and strollers. In the winter it turns to a sheet of ice. It's a pretty serious hazard; I don't know why it's never been fixed.

This is a many-year issue; the walkway is often impassable. I believe this is an ADA issue as well.

"Fixing" this has gone on for many months. In the meantime, you can't use the path. The "detour" is very roundabout -- too much so for folks with canes like myself. I can't get to Davis Square. Why is this taking so long?!!

MOlder, the signs they posted this summer said the work would go through November. I’m assuming they are taking the time to do the job correctly, which is good as we’ve all been looking forward to this project for a long time.

Has it not been fixed from the original post? There was catchbasin work done several years ago and it appeared to alleviate the puddling of water. Does this still happen (I have not seen it recently).
