Description
This sinkhole, in the street between 1185 and 1186 Trestle Glen Rd., has been repaired several times since 2006, the last time after it caused a cyclist to crash and dislocate his shoulder. It's now several inches deep and a large crack has appeared across the sidewalk and down the driveway of 1185. Smaller cracks are leading up the sidewalk at 1186. Another cyclist crashed this weekend and had to be taken to Highland hospital for an MRI and a bunch of stitches.

This should not be closed as no repairs have been made. Three guys from the sewer dept. checked it out today and referred it to the paving dept. I emailed Leroy Franklin, lfranklin@oaklandnet.com:
"Though there's an area that's several inches lower than rest of the 8' x 8' patch, the three guys from the sewer department who came out today said that it wasn't a sinkhole, and referred the problem to your department. Since people are being injured on a regular basis would you mind escalating this and can you let me know when you think it will be taken care of? Thanks for your help Mr. Franklin."

What a spectacular (read WTF) moment for auto-responders to this site by our City.
As the neighbor who drove the last victim of this mess to Highland Park on Saturday-- I can tell already we will be more impactful with the direct calls & email that Scott suggested.
The rhetoric in the auto-response needs greater oversight and leadership too. I have more confidence today than a year ago that this too can happen.
