Description

I have previously written about the need for signs and line painting need at this increasingly dangerous intersection. People keep forcing their way over after the lights on both Bridge and Washington streets to avoid the on ramp to 114 and continue on Bridge Street. There are numerous near misses each day that I witness and so I'm sure countless more. People also don't yield on green to turn left onto Washington from Bridge street, and the intersection is a mess. I can't just blame it on aggressive driving since the signage is non-existent and there are virtually no lines painted on this area. With all the out of state tourists and new train garage, this is just getting worse and worse. Can't the city put up "right turn only" signs for the right lane on Bridge going to 114, and paint lines for all sides of this intersection?! When I last reported this issues, it was closed, but nothing has changed. Is there any kind of plan to make this intersection safer? Do we have to wait for a major car crash or pedestrian death to get the city to address this issue?
