Shall we call crime stoppers on this most heinous infraction?

We live in a historic neighborhood that has a unique set of rules in order to preserve the area and ensure that historical information about it is absolutely accurate. It contributes greatly to the value of homes in the area. If I can put any plaque I want up there I might as well write "Built in 1756 by George Washington himself, along with his brother Jesus, the carpenter. Much of the wood came from cherry trees which were chopped down by Paul Bunyan." That's why it's an infraction.

I checked the link you provided: It says that residents can voluntarily participate. It is hard to read the information on the plaque from the picture you took; however, if it is in violation, it appears that the CHA wold be the people to contact, not the city.

Historic Plaque Program
In a neighborhood rich with history, residents can voluntarily participate in the Historic Plaque program to help document and display information regarding the history of their own home. Text on the plaques is researched either by the owner, or by VCU students working under the guidance of Historic Richmond Foundation. The plaques not only enhance the property, but also the connectivity and charm of our neighborhood.
The three available sizes are: Small $200, med $250 and large $300.
