PW, get it together. Why are u allowing the homeless to get away with this. The city needs to hold them accountable for illegal dumping and PW needs to be held accountable for not telling the truth about cleaning issues up.

Clean this garbage up, and if those tents are still there remove them also. What is this city going? Absolutely nothing. Millions spent on cleaning up illegal dumping and encampments, and no solutions.
This is unacceptable. Clean this mess up and give the encampment a stay away order. They are breaking the laws. I don't care what anyone says the homeless should not be allowed to set up a sidewalk full of furniture, tents etc. If PW would have cleaned it up in the first place this might not be an issue. Like I said before a huge lot that they can all camp on is a solution until Oakland comes up with a better one.
This situation is getting worse and will need a hazmat team to clean up the area on both sides of San Pablo. There are several syringes and other human waste left in the bushes nearby. It is well know by the City of Oakland that the homeless encampment that they moved here from 23rd and MLK used syringes to inject drugs and are doing the same here. This is a health hazard that needs action now.
This is exactly why Oakland needs to step up and make solutions. The excuses need to stop, I think most everyone knows that most of the homeless do drugs and if they don't they are in denial. To get the homeless into housing they will need extensive drug intervention and learn the ways of the rest of us, but they themselves have to want it and make that first step. In the mean time Oakland is allowing unsafe and unhealthy conditions. Its time to wake up.
