How is a road repair a dwsd problem?

Is it that difficult to figure out who's jurisdiction this is and what actions need to be taken to fix this? Someone's car is going to end up in the creek when the street completely fails.

The Department of Public Works can not repair this issue. The back fill around the culvert has washed out from the water in the Rouge River. Wayne County has been notified to repair the culvert. T.Dennis

Has the Engineer visited the site? If so, who is that person? Please leave this issue open until a reply is received from the engineer.
Why can DPW not repair this? The street is a city street, so why would the culvert be a County culvert?

Has response been recieved from Wayne county ? Is there at least a report # this has been going on for 5 years.

Spoke with Ms Parker at DPW this morning. She is going to have the City Engineer visit.

No action has been taken.

This is pretty sad that no one can take responsibility for this problem. Is the City or Wayne County going to wait until a major accident occurs or a curious child gets seriously hurt? This is a 5 year ongoing issue. Come on people, do your job, address this problem and have it repaired!

Per the community meeting held in District 7 on April 27, as discussed with Ms. Peggy Dankert, jurisdiction for the issue has been determined as DPW. DPW City Engineering staff will keep you apprised of their next steps now that jurisdictional authority has been confirmed.

Tomorrow this problem has had no attention for three months...We have heard nothing regarding this from DPW. And it appears nothing has been done. Tomorrow, the Mayor is getting a tour of Rouge Park and this will be included on the tour.

Thanks for more barricades...people have been driving around the existing ones. The problem however still remains. The street needs to be reconstructed. Until that has been accomplished, this issue should remain open.

The DPW City Engineering Division is in the process of completeing design work for a total reconstruction. The City is fully aware of the issue and is working to resolve this problem.
