Thank you for using FayFixIt. We've found that Cumberland County Animal Control would be responsible for addressing this matter. I have forwarded your concerns to Dispatch. This will be addressed as soon as possible. An Officer will post a notice on the Homeowners door, letting them know what the complaint is in regards to. If they are not home, then this is what will occur. If the homeowner is home, the Office will speak with the homeowner directly, in regards to the problem reported. The Officer will listen for 5-15 minutes consecutively to hear for any possible violation. The last known complaint filed was on 11/6/15. Please allow up to 24-48 Business Hours for concern to get investigated. You can also record the animal barking and if there is any negligence occurring. The date and time will also need to be noted for recent activity happening at this location regarding animal neglect. Based upon further advisement, there has to be proof of anything before further law enforcement action can occur. I remember when a neighbor complained about our dog barking outside. At least he was neighborly enough to talk to us first.........anyway, the ironic part was our dog never barked (different town and state, many many years ago) unless something or someone was outside and shouldn't be (normally in our yard). Well, guess what, this neighbor had someone in their yard (looked like they may have been even camping out there or something). This time the person was attempting to break into the neighbor's property. It was on our side closest to our yard and house, but hidden by their tall bushes that hugged their wall and windows on that side. No one could see anything in a normal situation. Our dog would,not be quiet because he was alerting anyone and everyone something was not right and there was a fence between him and the neighbor's house so he could not protect the neighbor's property. He was going to keep on barking until someone got the message. We did, and the person got arrested.
Just a note of information. I know each case is different, but just sharing.
