We are moving forward with a city-wide initiative to install flashing yellow arrows at intersections like this. The criteria needed for a flashing yellow arrow is being studied at this time. We will update once the study is completed.

The left turn is a protected/permitted left turn with a green light at this intersection. When the left turn has cycled the green light remains on, the left turn traffic may continue to turn but must yield to oncoming traffic. A green light gives motorists the same opportunity to turn left as would a flashing yellow arrow would allow. With a flashing yellow arrow, motorists still have to yield to oncoming traffic.
