Description

To whom it may concern,

We have been notified by a representative of the City of Sartell, that a letter was sent to our neighbor located directly to the north of our home. (We are located at 1411 Grizzly Ln, Sartell, MN 56377.)

We were informed this letter was for excessive weed/thistle growth, and this was the 2nd letter that was recently sent to this location.

We were informed the letter instructed our neighbor to spray the thistles. The thistles were spayed once this year 2015 and the spraying resulted in damage to our adjacent grass. The source of the issue still remained, the large ***un-used garden, still harbored and continued producing thistles. These thistles would spread across our adjacent lawn and to our neighbor's lawn.

The garden also has remained an unsightly figure for ourselves and likely for our neighbors, to the East and to the West of our home.

Please note that we are aware that our neighbor is an elderly gentleman and he is likely unwilling to utilize the garden. This may also be the reason the garden has not been removed.

Regardless, we are focused on preventing the weed/thistle growth on our lawn. We are requesting that a letter be sent to our neighbor requesting the lawn is either utilized or removed to prevent further thistle growth.

If a letter with this request is unacceptable, or not acted upon by our neighbor. We are proposing to assist the city in removing this garden to prevent the further spreading of thistles.

We would like to kindly address this issue with the help of the city. Which in resolution of this issue, would likely aid our neighbor to the north and prevent additional maintenance for them and the surrounding neighbors.

Please send us your thoughts and/or suggestions. Thank you for your time.
