Description

The crosswalk at the corner of Whalley Ave. and Dayton St. is practically useless to pedestrians. Even with the right of way, there is a constant flow of traffic coming from either direction. Not only is this a dangerous intersection, but it's only a block from Chapel Haven, a school for adults with disabilities. For some of them, the fact that they have a disability makes it all the more difficult for them to safely cross the intersection. To prevent the possibility of someone getting hurt, I strongly urge the state to put up a simple "no turn on red" sign, not just for the residents of Chapel Haven, but for everyone. I believe this is the safest, easiest, and most cost effective solution.
