Thanks for continuing to raise this issue. Was in touch with DDOT over the winter and they are unable to paint these lines if it is under 50 degrees, so I think it's on the list for spring.
Spring ends in two weeks. DDOT has done nothing to fix this serious safety issue. Do i need to take my own paint it there to keep someone from getting hurt? It do i have to FOIA the contract documents to determine who at DDOT authorized the contractor to be paid prior to completing the job?
FOIA submitted. I am very interested to learn who signed off on the work being completed, and this lack if over site for street resurfacing projects is a regular occurrence for our neighborhood. There are no less than 16 open Service Requests for similar work in Brookland and Woodridge. DDOT - do your job and increase traffic safety.
And here is a picture of an intersection without a painted crosswalk. There was money budgeted and paid for this work. But where did it go? You can clearly see the survey lines and the two signs. This intersection used to have a crosswalk before the road was resurfaced over a year and a half ago. Why is DDOT and the DC government not interested in fixing this major safety issue? Who did the money go to..?
