Very tragic what happened and understandable wanting to make a memorial to him. Sadly, I drive by this every day and find it distracting as do others I've spoken to. In the peripheral field of vision, unique objects tend to cause more motorist collisions especially at higher speeds near intersections.

+1 please leave it. It helps me remind my children to be careful on their bicycles.
Should we remove all cemetery headstones since, per that logic, leaving them in place after dozens or hundreds or years is morbid?
