this particular intersection is one of the most dangerous intersections in nassau county, there are at least 2 or 3 motorist accidents along with pedestrian accidents. there is always a vehicle going through a red light all the time and pedestrians either walking or bicycling across the huge intersection. you can look up the statistics at the fourth pct. and examine how many accidents occur in a year. there needs to be a red light camera going both ways as this will make motorists more aware and the unusual truck traffic in this particular intersection is extremely high and waiting for something bad to happen
