This is disgusting! It seems like the problem is getting worse. Is there nothing that can be done to prevent or minimize this from occurring? I would have to assume that this is a health hazard. Moreover, I've had to walk my baby in her stroller on the street because the sidewalks are so full of trash. This is unacceptable!
Again and again AND AGAIN. I don't know how many times this location has been reported, but this is by far THE WORST I have seen it in years. IT's a dump, literally. It's just a dumping whole. Not only there but blocks either side. Oh, and there will be more coming a couple of days after this crap pile is picked up. Sorry Oakland, your current procedures suck.
A huge pile got cleaned up before the new year. Two weeks has passed only and the pile of garbage and furniture collected is absolutely huge and disgusting. I can't believe we have to rally to get our streets clean every week.
Come on Oakland!!
Oakland kept saying they were going to crackdown on illegal dumping. What was their plan, if they even had one. All the hot spots at least should have cameras. I don't think citizens are willing to turn people in, or its just that the illegal dumpers know when and where to do it. It's gotten worse so I doubt if Oakland had any kind of plan or even wants a plan.

When they says its going to crack down on illegal dumpers that means is the Pro-Bono public to step and do all the leg work. Put up cameras, file civil complaints with the district attorney law corps or just join Keep Oakland Beautiful and do it ourselves. Also what is PWD doing now that Waste Management is doing most of the clean ups.

- It can be combined with 10 others given the scope of the issue. Start at the MacArther exit of 580, grab the shopping cart and that pile, continue to the overpass and grab that pile. Next you can scoop up the piles until you get to Watts. Take a right on Watts and check on the ad-hoc poop hole on up the hill by the highway embankment. If you haven't had enough by then you can embrace the massive pile of garbage pictured in the original submission. SO, maybe one issue is NOT enough.
