Description

The abandoned and dilapidated house at 185 Pelham Road has become an eyesore and detracts from the surrounding neighborhood. Since being abandoned 2-3 years ago, the structure has deteriorated significantly. The City of New Rochelle has boarded up the house and deemed the building as "unsafe". Squatters have occasionally occupied the premises and during warmer months the property becomes overgrown with vegetation. For the wellbeing of the neighborhood and nearby Trinity school, the structure needs to be demolished or rehabilitated.
