i saw a resident the other day with his ladder climbing up one of the street lights to fix it now thats what i like take the matter in your own hands like they say if you want to get it done do it yourself

Why has the mayor's admin assistant failed to follow up on this thread?

To reemphasize things - I am doing everything I can to get the responsible parties, who fall outside of the city's jurisdiction, to get this taken care of. It has undoubtedly gone on too long and it absolutely must be fixed. Pressure is being applied each week to make things happen.

Happen to see the front page article of the PL this weekend about the state reporting Quincy high for vehicle and pedestrian accidents? This delay isn't helping. Please let us know who we can contact directly to escalate this.

All we really need at this point is the number to call National Grid. What number have you been calling? You say you have tried and for that I thank you, however, I will be escalating to the DOT if this issue goes unresolved another day. Thank you for your time.

Update from National Grid - overhead line crew checked every light and replaced bulbs where necessary. They have determined that in 2 separate spots on Furnace Brook Parkway there are underground failures. An underground crew is scheduled to be out there this week to start searching for the fault.

I will continue to follow the issue with National Grid this week.

Looks as if my single phone call to them last week spurred some action. Thanks again for that number!

Another tragedy today in Quincy as a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Is this lighting situation resolved yet so we can make at least this one section of road a little safer? Let me guess - the storm has intervened.
