this is an automotive repair facility. I have been working with the NEW owner of this business. There are no vehicles parked on the lawn. The vehicles that were abandoned by the previous owner are being addresses but the owner has to do it legally by seeking out the owner of the vehicle and when no response is given from the owner he must claim abandoned property status and get a new title in order to have the vehicles legally removed. He is working on this lengthy and costly process. As of our last conversation a couple weeks ago he had four more vehicles that had to be dealt with. Other than those four vehicles the remaining vehicles are in various states of repair, including some of them that are his own personal vehicles.
I have been a customer of the current owner for at least two years. The cars are polluting and empty windshield washer liquid containers and other trash is throughout the parking area. The cars are parked to block the sidewalk and driveway. They are polluting the site and it's an illegal parking area. It's a disgrace and I am going to stop using them as my neighborhood repair. There should be an abandoned vehicle ordinance.
CityLover, why don't you let the City handle this. There are laws and practices in place that need to be addressed first while achieving a common goal. Why do you have a car if they are so toxic?
Are you for real? This is my neighborhood. I have young children who play, walk by and breathe the air. Burlington has very low enforcement and standards when it comes to things like this. They look the other way. The city will pay attention more when people advocate for themselves and important issues. This is a public health issue. The parking lot is gross, overparked and leaking toxic material into the ground. Cars block the sidewalk constantly. I like Vitaly very much but it is unacceptable the way he is managing the lot.
I am. This is not YOUR Neighborhood, it is OUR neighborhood. Other people live and work here too. If you have young children, I do not recommend they play at the Mechanic's Shop. I feel Burlington has significant standards and they do enforce them. But the City cant force the Owner of the Garage remove all abandoned cars as soon as YOU would like. I'm still not sure why you are walking around a private parking lot or how the over-parked lot affects you. What toxic material are the cars leaking? Maybe take pictures of these violations. Is it any different than a car parked on the street? If cars block the sidewalk, take pictures and call the police. If you don't like the way he is managing HIS facility, then don't support his business. Please allow the City to do their due diligence.
OMG it's a free country. He is my mechanic for pete's sake. That is why I'm walking in/by the lot. My complaints is the reason that SeeClickFix exists. The city wants to hear people report issues. Have a great day.
Just pointing out how intolerant/impatient she towards others. Most of her SCF reports are inflammatory and over exaggerations. Her photo shows no violations, her new SCF post does show a parking violotion, take more photos! She is unwilling to let the City do their due diligence. I would just like for her to realize that this "free" country has to protect the rights of everyone, not just her.
Oh, I realized that cars have "fluids", but she has failed to show any leaking fluids, how this mechanic is worse than others, worse than cars on the road, or even in violation of the law. If you want the City to "fix" something, then please document allegations properly and allow the City to do their job properly.
I have lived in many cities around the US and world and simply would like Burlington to do it's job and aspire to a higher standard. I feel that we have the right to a safe and friendly city for our children. Where I have lived in the past, this was a typical dialog. The city sometimes needs to be pushed to take action. It's really okay.
Issue's claim that this is a "toxic site" was answered to. With no further comments in over 4 years, a new report should be created if a problem is discovered at this address - closing issue.

"What toxic material are the cars leaking?"
Maybe you have noticed that cars have rather large reservoirs of gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, and anti-freeze.
CityLover is using this website appropriately, if slightly impatiently. I ask you to stop bullying them for bringing this issue here.
