The light at Forest Glen that controls the eastound traffic, and especially the Left turn arrow for Northbound Georgia avenue needs to be adjusted - the signal is too short for the extra traffic load, now that Walter Reed had moved to Bethesda. In addition, the length of the left-turn lane should increased to allow more cars to wait for the signal, while allowing through traffic to pass. Lastly, a sensor-loop control would make this signal more efficient for both Georgia avenue and for Forest Glen road.

I don't believe that the sensor loop has yet been installed. We still need a longer North on Ga Ave Left Turn signal ... and probably a longer left turn lane. All of this is related to additional traffic from the relocation of Walter Reed Hospital to Bethesda.

I don't think the sensor loop has yet been installed. The east-bound signal and left turn (northbound) timing should be longer to reduce the backup - especially because the left turn lane is very short.

The signal timing has improved ... I think that the left turn (North onto Georgia) should still be extended for 10-15 more seconds. Also, the timing change seems to shift around 4:00 pm ... the work schedule at Walter Reed Bethesda allows 3:30 departures for thousands - so the signal timing should increase the duration of the left turn by 3:30pm ... rather than waiting till 4:00 pm

Even with the change in traffic patterns for the Summer, the Jones Bridge ... Forest Glen route from Bethesda to Silver Spring needs improvement. The light at Jones Bridge to go North on Jones Mill should be longer - and the left turn lane only accommodates two cars.

This light sequence has improved - but I think we could still use a longer Left Turn (North on Georgia) from East bound Forest Glen road, and the longer sequence should start at 3:30, since many of the Walter Reed/Bethesda employees have a 0700 - 1530 work day.
