The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #635357. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Wow jeeezuz that's a gigantic pothole! What will it take for the city to fix this mother of all potholes? Please fix or even better tell Mayor Libby Schaaf to drive over the pot hole to determine whether this needs to be fixed.
Due to the danger to cyclists, this issue is being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program.
all right all right we are getting some where with this fixing of potholes and not using the excuse that the city does not have funds to fix all potholes. Lets use this positive momentum and get all the other pot holes fixed as well!
I truly think we need Mayor Libby Schaaf to drive around in her personal car to all these reported pothole locations and things will be fast tracked on the pot hole fix list.
Agreed pokeheeman, and the bigger piece of the puzzle is that there are many parts of our city where people have less time and access to report and monitor issues like this, but where the problems are just as bad. As such we need for our city to be proactive about pothole repairs everywhere, and not just in places where the residents are connected and engaged with tools like SeeClickFix.
