I concur. We move thru that intersection daily. The light is too short for the level of traffic and many times traffic is backup by a dozen or more cars. I've set thru 2-3 light changes.

Exactly! Seems like city officials are more intent on collecting extra revenue from drivers running the photo enforced lights because of adding the additional frustration of having to wait longer to get through the intersection. The time sequence was shortened when the photo enforced option was added again for that intersection. Why? Safety is always the bottom line rationale though, isn't it?

The Morganton Rd approaches at this intersection do NOT have red-light enforcement cameras. The cameras are only on Skibo Rd.

Wonderful Carl -- but what does that have to do with light sequence times??

Timing adjustments for this intersection are reviewed on a frequent basis due to the heavy volume of traffic. Unfortunately due to this volume, especially during peak travel times, this intersection operates at or near capacity and motorists can experience longer than normal delays. Although we realize these delays, the signal operates in this manner to reduce even longer delays that would occur on Skibo Road if the time was longer for Morganton Road.
