How long do you give people to rectify the problems and how long before they're notified after a complaint is reported? Just curious.

This area has mello-roo tax which is supposed to help pay for landscape maintenance. The over grown trees and bushes are located outside the homeowner's property. I don't think this is a homeowner issue, it is the cities responsibility to keep it maintained. At least that's what I think.

Well....no answer and it has been over 3 years!

I'm the one who originally posted this and have since moved away. I laughed when I opened this and read the comments. CFlores, from what I remember of this property, the bushes and overgrown trees were on the owner's side of the sidewalk along his fence. They literally blocked the sidewalk and I had to go into the street when I walked my dogs past this house. The owner had two pit bulls in his back yard and maybe that was the reason he let them get so overgrown - in order to keep people from being so close to his fence. Doesn't matter though, he's blocking a public sidewalk!

This area/block is an older one and has no mello-roo tax or homeowner association. Sometimes I think we need one to help clean up the area and force the property owners to maintain their homes....
For now, we'll have to rely on LE code-enforcement to help us. Thanks for reporting that home. :-)
