only viable way of minimizing the damage to quality of life is confiscation of the dirtbikes and ATVs. NHPD needs intel on location of the bikes, mostly us (neighbors, bystanders) who can pass on leads. A few drones would probably solve the problem in a matter of weeks but I'm not holding my breath for that...

Hundreds are on front street every Sunday. They are not hard to find . They know the police are ordered not to chase .

I feel and share the frustration of the folks above. I know that many of the riders you see make their way down near me. In my area (adjacent to woods----bird sanctuary and dedicated open space, NOT a park for motorized vehicles), police know very well the locations and habits of these folks. Many riding near me are under ten years old! They learn young to cover their faces and run from police. Sometimes they ride with their parent; some make their own entrances into the woods so that they have their own private playground whenever they like. We get a few patrols for maybe a week or two...then nothing. So, more and more kids, teens, adults get these vehicles each season. I am north of Rte 80 and WE RARELY SEE POLICE NORTH OF RTE 80! We are still New Haven! Still taxpayers, and ever tired of being told our concerns are not a priority.

The Decision to disallow this needs to come from the Mayor.

NHPD confiscated the dirt bikes a couple of years, but yet here they are again to no fault of the NHPD. How many times can you confiscate something only to have the same individuals back out on the road terrorizing again.
Best advise is to ignore them much like the city of NH ignores Fair Haven. The more residents & the media glamorize these scumbag punks, the more they get off on it. They want their 5 minutes "fame" in the most inantile way possible. The more we all fuel their appetite, they more the do it. Mayor Malloy Harp needs to turn that waste land on River St into a dirt bike zone and be done with it. Let it become Mad Max Land and you give these A-holes a place be "creative" while maintaing peace in FairHaven neighborhoods.

When a tragedy occurs they will do something. Thats how these thing go.So you have to wait for some innocent person to get hurt before city hall reacts.

Move Ciry Hall into Fair Haven and watch how fast things get done.

Soon they will do a big BS PR article in the papers /news about how they are "cracking down" this year. Then they will ask for the public's help again since apparently they don't know the neighborhoods they patrol very well... Same ole song and dance.

I haven't had anyone tearing down my street in a few years, but last time someone did I threw my rake at him. Unfortunately I missed, but he did leave (and presumably didn't come back).

The BS is when these hood rats get on TV and say "we are re pressing ourselves! We're gonna do it no matter what!" And they'll sue you for throwing something at them or bump them with your car because they blew through the red light at Grand and Quinniyack! Turn all the bridges and close off all of FairHaven. It's doomed.
