Since the new lanes were developed (left turn only, straight/right turn) the traffic backs up all the way past the intersection of Nichols and Washington. Traffic blocks the roadways by the 111 bus stops, McDonald's, and Dunkins. Cars sit in the intersections and on the crosswalks, even during times that both the Shore Collaborative and Phoenix Charter Academy let out. When cars run out of room, they are filling up the left turn lane anyway, and cutting off the traffic in the intersection.

Can we create left turn lights for crossing lanes on Washington, or make the lights rotate faster? It's chaos down there.
