This section of road does not belong to the town. If you are requesting the lines be repainted you can send that to Mass DOT

I never understood why it is our job to report this to DOT and not the towns.

Hi JLaGreca - I agree completely - I think the town contacting the DOT is much more appropriate response for safety issues regarding the roads that go through our town.

It would probably take less effort to forward the issue to DOT than to reply to it twice asking the reporter to do it.

I agree with all the above. As someone who travels on Rte 9 and Oak street multiple times a day, I agree that this issue is highly dangerous and should be fixed asap!! Also, the lanes should be evenly divided-2 and 2, rather than 1 and 3, especially when cars back up to go into Scrub-a-dub. I did submit a request via this link. http://www.massdot.state.ma.us/ContactUs.aspx Maybe if we all submit, Mass DOT will finally take some action before anyone gets into a car accident!

Still mystified why Town of Natick assumes this "hands off" attitude about this, rather than proactively addressing a safety concern. You would think that they have working relationship with DOT that could get things done. Instead, they pass along a phone #.

As there are many people with concerns about this intersection we are asking the public to contact Mass DOT with there concerns, in conjunction with the Town. This is not our first complaint (probably won't be our last) and it won't be our first contact with Mass DOT about this intersection.
