Description

I live at 28 Gables Circle and when taking a right onto Gables Circle from Gallows Hill Rd., there is not a street light until the 3rd house on the left at 26 Gables Circle. There are lots of children in the neighborhood. This is a dark corner to turn into and there are always cars parked on the right as you take the right hand turn which you don't see until your are right on top of them. It seems that the whole neighborhood lighting is very dim and is quite dangerous especially on Halloween night. There were 5 cars broken into Tues. night, ours was one of them, right in our driveway. A few years ago, my car was hit twice at night in Salem within one week. Both drivers said they did not see me. Once on Canal St by the O'Keefe bldg., and once on Derby st. in front of A Pigs Eye. I truly believe the low lighting on the streets in Salem play a big part in this. I wonder if the SPD accidents reported at night have gone up since the lighting has changed?
