When you hear people there call SPPD.

Thank you. We have called SPPD. They have forced people in the woods on the property to leave. Problem is the property is very wooded and people easily hide and party back there. The back door in the photo faces woods and a drainage ditch - totally hidden. Big concern that people are squatting in the empty house, coming and going at will without being seen. Very scary.

There is now a tent on the same deck shown in the photo. It has laundry draped over it. Someone is actually living back there. This is so terrible.

My neighbor discovered 5 men and 1 woman living on the deck/in the tent. There was the tent, a BBQ grill and padding to sleep on. We called the police and the homeless outreach coordinator for St. Petersburg. The next day I could hear them screaming and yelling at each other as I was leaving for work. When I got home, they were gone. Two days later, another tent is on the deck with different homeless people. I called SPPD - the people fled. The police went into the house and found every single door to the house unlocked. They locked the doors. Right now there is not someone living back there but there are personal items and garbage everywhere.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
