Description
Something has got to be done about cars trying to make left hand turns onto side streets along inbound Wade avenue. The backups they are causing with the cars coming over the hills in the area at high speeds is incredibly dangerous and causing major issues at rush hour. Left turns are not possible at these times but people continue to try as oppose to using the signals at Dixie and Brooks. Im guessing small median strips at these areas to prevent this will be the onlty solution but it should be considered.

Good Afternoon,
SeeClickFix would like to emphasize the importance of respect when posting comments and issues. While we definitely encourage dialogue among users, we think it's important to emphasize constructive conversation that focuses on the identification, prioritization, and ultimate resolution of issues. Let's move the conversation forward in a respectful manner & let's steer away from unconstructive comments and personal attacks (which may be subject to removal in the future). As always, please don't hesitate to email contact@seeclickfix.com with any concerns, questions, or suggestions.
Regards,
Kevin

I further encourage everyone to contact DOT and encourage them to look at this issue, and also to encourage them to use SCF.
Melissa Anderson at 919-733-3213 or via email at mianderson@ncdot.gov is a contact Ive often heard.

Understood, but this is not the City of Raleigh's website. The City of Raleigh is a user, same as I am. If you have further questions on leaving this issue open, I suggest you request for a review by seeclickfix staff. Im using this website as a tool for an issue, not for a report to the City of Raleigh.
Im further using this tool to encourage and allow for feedback on contacting NCDOT about this issue.

Thanks, Yoder. Under the tools section in the lower section of this SCL page is the header 'TOOLS FOR Citizens' . There are the 3 principles of SCL:
Empowerment. SeeClickFix allows anyone to report and track non-emergency issues anywhere in the world via the internet. This empowers citizens, community groups, media organizations and governments to take care of and improve their neighborhoods.
Efficiency. Two heads are better than one and 300 heads are better than two.
Engagement. Citizens who take the time to report even minor issues and see them fixed are likely to get more engaged in their local communities.
I think the City Manager needs to review how his staff is using SCL.

CoR, has the city looked into this any more at all? I understand its a DOT road, but this is a city problem to me.
I also back in October sent this to DoT, never heard anything from them. I will also follow up again with them.

City staff met with NCDOT to discuss this issue. In order to safely install any type of permanent solutions, the width of the road would need to be increased. This would ensure that safe enough width will exist for travel lanes. As a result, this would be a major project to increase the width of the road to install a median throughout the length of Wade Avenue.
