Why do we as taxpayers have to drive over wooden boards instead of a decent bridge?

Because it is an MTA bridge.. and since you would complain about a higher MTA fare.. bridge won't get fixed.
Engineer was out there sometime ago and told us he won't let his wife drive across this bridge.
