Description

There is a beehive underneath the pedestrian walk signal on the NE corner of Whitney/Humphrey. A lot of commuters wait to cross the street here so there is a risk of people being stung

If they're honey bees I think it should be left alone. As many of us know there is a shortage of honey bees, we don't need to be making it worse by getting rid of more of them. If they are actually wasps or hornets; burn them with fire.

They may be honey bees but I can't tell for sure. If they are left I think a sign should at least be put up. The hive is in the ground underneath the post and many people stand right next to the opening unaware.

I don't think honeybees make nests in the ground. Sounds more like yellow jackets. I had a nest like that in my backyard but
I aggree that a sign should be put up nearby.

You can't kill bees in daylight unless you are an exterminator. You have to approach the nest at dusk and spray it with bee killer while the bees are in the nest.
