Yes isn't that call garage sale really people get a fricken life.

No, she isn't up cycling, she is collecting any and all free clothing and other items from churches and pantries. Claiming hardship, that would otherwise be given to homeless, and selling to make money on the side, along with her SSI checks and her fiancé and son both working full time jobs. This isn't a garage sale, she claims it is a business called " The Garage" if you find someone taking from places such as churches and pantries and then selling commendable, that's sad. If she can work from 8 am til 8 pm at night running her "shop", I would think she could also work a job.

She also has approx 6 Facebook accounts to collect items from groups on fb. She keeps getting banned which is why she keeps making more. People are finally catching on to her.
Also, she claims to need money for personal hygiene such soap and toothpaste, then why is she selling bars of soap and toothpaste, that she apparently got from churches / pantries

And you have seen her do this with your own eyes. This isn't just neighborhood gossip?

I know the lady yes she takes thing and sell them I use to work at the Hope's Doors. Her and her man come there gets lots of stuff there!!!!!

Yea sick and tired, and she admits she takes free items and donations and sells them.

She has until Wednesday morning, the 19th, to close her garage sale as she refers to it, or get a retail license at city hall to run a business there. garage sales my run for 7 days in any month but may not exceed 14 days in any calendar year per city ordinance.

Was just posted on fb, may want to follow up to see if a retail permit was purchased.

So should we keep posting updates of her continuing on wth her sales? I also know she was claiming to be serving food to customers too which is also another issue.

She claims to have just gotten more stuff in today. Stated in fb that she and her fiancé did research on when they can run their business. She stated she runs her sale 3 days a week, but her days keep starting over. She is also getting these items by collecting free items from the area, such as Hopes Door, which have now put an end to it. And any other place around town that helps homeless and the needy. She has admitted getting free items on the internet several times to supply her "Garage" "Sale" by claiming hardship.

An Abatement / Cease and Desist order has been sent. If she ignores it or continues without getting the proper permits she will start to receive citations. Thank you for your information and concern.

She has called the city clerks office and stated that she will be applying for a permit to operate as a re-seller of used items. I will monitor the process.

If i remember there was a place at the end of 12th Ave many years ago that did the same thing and nobody seemed to mind get a fricken life. I know of many people that go to other rummage sales and turn around and sell them at their own rummage sales.

Ms. Raabe has chosen to not continue in the process to recieve a busuness license. As such she connot conduct anymore garage sales days, she has used up the time alloted. We will look at any further reports as violations of city code.

Just alerting you that she is planning yet another sale, after having the amount allowed by code, and after being instructed on the law.

And to wondering, if we are all expected to abide by the laws, she should too. She is way over the limit for how often you are allowed to have a garage sale. She also makes it a habit of collecting from food pantries and such that provide clothing,personal hygiene products, toothbrushes,paste, deodorant, and whatever else she can get for free, taking away from those who may really need it, and sells it.

Thank you for keeping us posted on this issue. We are monitoring this and it will all be brought out in court.

In total I have documentation of over 30 days of garage sales going back to April 2016. What she is doing now is advertising her garage sales using different terminology in order to circumvent the law. She also uses her mother's maiden name as a fake ID.

Fined by the court. will still be allowed to have garage sales as long as they do not exceed the permitted number of days. This issue is closed.
