So that's the drill. Every time this car collector puts another heap of junk in his driveway, he gets written up. And then he puts the tag on the car. And then a few months later he does it again. And again and again and again and again. 1994, 1996, 1997 (2), 1998 (2), 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 (3), 2010 (4), 2011, 2012 (2), 2013 (3), 2014 (2), 2015, 2016 (working on a second). About 30 violations for the same problem and/or improper parking of one or more of these wrecks. 30? Isn't it time we did something different?

I seem to recall being told by a certain Civic Association president that there are rules in place for a reason. If Mr. Miller is playing by said rules, and corrects the reported issue each time the city contacts him, there is not much more the city can do about this, is there? After all, we all must play by the rules, right Judy?

Only some people have to play by the rules. I think that after all this time they should leave him alone. I don't think he is going to hurt someone or cause damage because of an unregistered vehicle is in the driveway.

Its obvious that Cuzinit and SonOfSTPete have no idea what Broken Window Theory is or why our President devotes so much energy to what you consider a waste of time. If you get up in the morning and find a clean street without trash, beer cans, bottles or dog poop, if you go to bed at night reasonably sure your home will not invaded, if you get in your car and drive to work every morning fairly confident your home will be there when you get back, if your eyes aren't offended by yard parking or smelly trash cans or rusting cars that drive down housing values, you should be down on your knees thanking Judy Ellis for what she does. Can you find something more productive to do with your time?

I should be on my KNEES thanking Judy Ellis? That is a joke, right? Unless she is out there in a suit of armor driving back the forces of evil she deserves neither my thanks or gratitude. I think the police play a bigger role in keeping my property and family safe. And I am quite aware of the Broken Window Theory and what it implies. I am all for reporting code violations to the city if the issue spills over into my quality of life, but as I said; if Mr. Miller is playing the game by the rules set forth by the city then more power to him.
