You can call the City Attorney's office and speak with Yolanda Bennett at 483-4328 and they will send a letter out to the property owner.

This just will not go away, this dog is out there all the time, barking incessantly. I contacted Yolanda Bennett, so we will see what happens.

I have called the police, they say they have sent people over there, but nothing happens, Yolanda Bennet never called me back. She says in here voice mail to only call once, I am sure she is busy, and with a message like that she probably gets lots of repeat calls, but she never returned mine. I called Ingham co. animal control, they said that if they don't see the dog barking they can't do anything, so I said send some one now its out there barking, they said they have one person on the road for the whole county and they might be able to get there by next week. I never heard anything back from them either. Some officers, officer Persons of the Lansing Police has been very helpful. I have tried asking for him when I call, because he is familiar with the on going problem. Bark BARK BARK, its barking right now. Summer is here and my windows are open to enjoy the warm weather, and that damn dog is there ruining the peace and quite. I should be able to listen to the birds, but noooo, that BARK BArk BArk is all I hear.

So, after numerous calls to the police, Ingham Co. animal control, and various elected officials, something happened. On the last police call the officer was attacked by the dog, and the animal was taken away. I am sorry that an officer had to be bitten before anything happened, but the difference has been wonderful. As I site here and type, all I can hear is birds in the trees. What a relief. I don't know if the animal was put down, or what happened to it, but I can always hope.

Now there's a surprising solution! The dog owner learned a hard lesson, but I can appreciate the relief the neighbors now have without the "BARK,BARK, BARK. Hope all is fine for the officer.
