Description
I know that alleys are a lower priority than roadways, but the alleys in and around Bellevue are really starting to go back to nature here. The sections I frequent are north of Westminster in the 1200 block, and west of Brook Road, 4400 & 4500 block. Those sections regularly wreak havoc on my vehicle's suspension, and other portions of alley I have traveled in the neighborhood have appeared to be in similar shape.
There was a re-grading project in the area a couple years ago, but any work done has not lasted very long. And every time heavy trash, recycling, and utility trucks come through there (especially after a rain when the ground is muddy), it gets worse and worse.
I strongly urge the city's public works department to go ahead and schedule maintenance to the alleys in our neighborhood; the longer that they wait, the more work it will take to restore the alleys to decent shape.
I would also encourage my neighbors to contribute supporting comments and pictures from their own personal favorite pothole spots.
