  I live on Eden as well and it's become a true issue. I sometimes cannot back out of my driveway. It's a daily occurrence to have several cars parked on our street now and it's severely congested. Just yesterday, their was an emergency and 4 firetrucks had to be on the street. They all had trouble maneuvering around all the parked cars.

  Eden Street is definitely overrun by commercial parking and it also spills over onto Forest and Nelson St. I saw two cars collide at the corner of Nelson and Forest because a truck parked so poorly it was partially blocking the road and visibility was bad.

  I live on Forest Ave. There is a problem but business employees have the right to park on public streets just like the many Marian High students do. This is a common problem on the south side. The solution is simple. DPW needs to install signs reading "No Parking Here to Corner" at appropriate places on all side streets throughout the south side. There are engineering standars for fire trucks to turn and they must be followed. With proper signage, tickets can follow.

  I agree with Mike. I often have guests park on Nelson Street (where I live), so I wouldn't want street parking banned, but I have also nearly been hit pulling out of my driveway or making the turn from Nelson to Forest because of cars parked too close to that corner.
