This was basically the same answer I received when I logged this same complaint months ago. No action or explanation has been taken and I doubt this will generate a different result.

I hope there's strength in numbers regarding this issue. I hope there doesn't come a day that one of the many frustrated drivers doesn't run the light and kill themselves or someone else.

The worst part, is it seems to change through the day. A slightly more normal length during off hours, but mere seconds during rush hour in the afternoon. I've seen it go from green to yellow before the first car can get half way across and traffic backed up all the way to Brook.

Agreed, fix the timer Richmond and let's move on to our schools next.

Being on Brookland Park in the late afternoon / early evening is maddening at this light at Chamberlayne. It is not as bad in the morning rush hour, but I concur that only 3 cars can safely pass through in the afternoon. More and more traffic is using Brookland Park. Please recognize this increasing problem!!!

This problem has to be fixed by the engineer at Rythm, all detection and coordination is correct. We will contact Rythm and make them aware.

Just because a contracted engineer at Rhythm states that detection and coordination software and hardware is working properly means that is was correct for the volumes the road USED to sustain. Please re-evaluate timing, detection and coordination at this intersection.
