The railroad crossing on Van Horn between Telegraph and Allen Roads is a major community issue. Last night, I sat in my car for almost ONE HOUR while the train sat on the track, for the most part not moving. I finally went all the way down to Vreeland to go around the train. Fortunately, that railroad crossing was clear. Fortunately, I was simply going home from work and not having a life-threatening emergency and wanting to go to Southshore Hospital from my house. I hope no lives are lost due to the ridiculous amount of time the train is allowed to block the tracks. What can be done about this hazard?
