Description
There are several port-a-potties on the Green. One behind United Church (off Elm b/t College & Temple) and what looks like two directly on Church Street in front of Roly Poly. Why is this? Maybe they were set up for a summer concert, but come on. They're unattractive and gross.
Didn't the American Planning Association name the Green one of this country's Great Public Spaces in October? It wasn't because there were 3 bright blue port-a-potties on it.

AvonLady: Peter, I'll take the New Haven Green for the win!
Peter Marshall: Okay, New Haven Green. True or false: port-a-potties can be an eyesore on an otherwise beautiful public space.
NHG: Hmm, well Peter, they really should call them port-a-NOT-ties!
(Audience laughter.)
NHG: But...I think I'm going to have to say true.
PM: AvonLady?
AL: ...I'll agree.
PM: That is......TRUE! CIRCLE GETS THE SQUARE!

i think it is an unattractive solution to a bigger problem of public urination...
why can't we think of more long-term solutions, like a public restroom, maybe even with shower facilities and secure bike storage somewhere on the green, near city hall, or by the new devil's gear bike shop at 360 state?
