Description
The red lights are often disobeyed with 3 and sometimes 4 cars crossing Whalley and Ella T Grasso in all directions after the light turns. This is extremely dangerous for pedestrians as well as drivers. Please enforce the laws before lives are lost.

This intersection is very dangerous. As a start, it needs clearer lanes and signage.
One problem is that heading north on Blvd towards Whalley, cars form two lanes at the light, but both lanes can potentially go straight to continue on Blvd and are forced into one lane. There is no indication on the road or on signs whether there really are two lanes there and (assuming there are two lanes) which one has preference if both continue straight.
Another problem - turning west from the north side of Blvd onto Whalley - there is a right turn lane separated by an island. Way across the street, almost too far to see, there is a no turn on red sign. It is hard to tell whether that sign is meant for people planning to turn right onto Whalley. Because of the separate lane and island, it seems people think they can turn right there whenever they want.
