Description

The county hired a crew from Alabama to make giant piles of snow and ice all around the neighborhood days after the blizzards of 09 had ended and homeowners had already cleared sidewalks. These good old boys with small construction dirt haulers piled the snow up on the sidewalks all over the neighborhood, damaging curbs, road bed, sidewalks, grass, and bushes. Now, weeks later, the ONLY snow left on the streets and sidewalks are these massive icebergs. (If they had just left the snow, it all would have melted by now.)
WHY did the county WASTE money on these bone heads from Alabama (who admitted never seeing snow before!)? It accomplished nothing (but blocking people from using the sidewalks, which had been cleared); damaged the curbs, roads, private property, and wasted our money!
Whoever made this call needs to repair the curb and road damage, fix torn up lawns, and replace damaged bushes.
